If people around him tend to eat more then he will also mostly likely eat more. Eating is not just homeostasis but a behaviour motivated by biological, social, and individual psychological factors. As fast food like linked to health problem, it makes it harder to these individuals to make money so they can afford healthy food. Males are less prone to eating disorders but it still happens: young males tend to stop eating to gain muscle and lose weight. Ppl who are exposed to the western culture are more likely to be bulimic: girls strive to be like actresses with very thin bodies, viewing the media depiction of beauty lowered the women"s satisfaction with their own bodies.
