Laws have been enforced to reduce the risks posed by second hand smokers by banning smoking in a lot of public places. Taxes are also increased for tobacco and this helps with the prevention as well. Canada became the first country to put graphic pictorial warnings on cigarette boxes. The result: over 40% of canadian smokers indicated that the graphic warnings motivated them to quit.
