Illusory correlation occurs when we focus on two events that stand out and occur together. A scientific approach requires more evidence before drawing conclusions. Aristotle concerned with factors associated with persuasion and change: persuasion is achieved by the speaker"s personal character when the speech is so spoken as to make us think him credible.
