Document Summary
Components of a graph: time and behavior are two variables, each data point gives two pieces of info, when behavior was recorded (time, level of behavior at the time, time is indicated on horizontal axis. Also called abscissa: x-axis: level of behavior is indicated on vertical axis. Also called ordinate: y-axis: six components are necessary for graph to be complete, y-axis and x-axis. Most graphs have x-axis longer than y-axis and is usually 1-2 times as long: labels for y-axis and x-axis. Y-axis label usually tells you behavior and dimension of behavior that is recorded. X-axis label tells unit of time during which behavior is recorded: numbers on y-axis and x-axis. On y-axis, numbers indicate units of measurement of behavior. X-axis, numbers indicate units of measurement of time. Should be hash mark on y-axis and x-axis to correspond to each of the numbers: data points.
