Behavioural assessment: collection and analysis of data to: identify target behaviour; causes of behaviour; select treatment strategies; evaluate treatment outcome. Client completes intake form consist of general information. Determine if agency or bt is appropriate to deal with client"s behaviour. Inform client about agency/practitioner"s policies and procedures related to service provision. Screen for the presence of crisis condition (e. g. abuse, harmful behaviours, suicide, risk) that require immediate intervention. Gather information through interview and psychological tests to diagnose client according to dsm-v. Provide specific information of which behaviour should be assessed. Assess target behaviour to determine its level prior to introduction of program and analyzes client"s current environment to identify possible controlling variables of behaviour to be changed. Directly measuring target behaviour and using changes in the measure as the best indicator that the problem is being treated. Design program to bring desired behaviour change. Frequent monitoring of behaviour throughout application of treatment.
