Participants flashed a matrix of 9 letters, in rows of 3, for a brief moment, 50ms. Partial report task participants required to immediately recall only 1 row of letters. Whole report task participants required to recall all. Decay the term used to refer to the time course of forgetting. Short-term memory receives information from both sensory memory and long-term memory.
