Anthropometrics (literally, the measurement of people ) referred to methods of measuring physical and mental variation in humans. Alfred binet, argued that intelli- gence should be indicated by more complex thinking processes,such as memory,attention,and comprehension. intelligence as the ability to think, understand, reason, and adapt to or overcome obstacles. Stanford-binet test as a test intended to measure innate levels of intelligence intelligence quotient, or iq, a label that has stuck to the present day. Iq is calculated by taking a person"s mental age, dividing it by his chronological age, and then multiplying by 100. if a child"s men- tal and chronological ages were the same, the iq score would always be 100. Iq scores remain constant after about age 16 deviation iq is cal- culated by comparing the person"s test score with the average score for people of the same age.
