Document Summary

He believed that a person"s senses could indicate their intelligence. Anthropometrics: is referred to as methods of measuring an individual"s physical and mental variation. He did several experiments however there was no correlation between any two senses, thus making his approach to intelligence difficult to use. For example, a student"s score on a sensory test didn"t predict their grade. Intelligence: is the ability to think, understand, reason, and adapt to overcome obstacles. He believed intelligence should be based on complex thinking processes. He and theodore simon created many tasks to capture complex thinking processes. These were given to children to determine the average test score for each age. Mental age: is the average intellectual ability score for children of a specific age group. For example, if a 7-year old"s score was the same as the average score for 10-year old"s, than her mental age would be 10 while her chronologic age would be 7.
