Maia shunned the other diivne gods and lived in a cave where her and zeus made love. He made a turtle into a musical instrument. Hermes saw it, skinned it, killed it and then longed for the sacred meat, but did not eat it. Apollo showed up and asked where his cattle went, an old man answered that a small child drove them away (child is hermes). Apollo walked on and when he saw a bird flying in the sky, he knew the thief was a child of zeus. Both gods fought and they went to zeus to settle the score.
