What is the problem with saying justice is the correct ordering of the soul: there is a difficulty as we do not know where this order is going to some place good or bad. Why did glaucon and adeimantus rethink the notion that being a philosopher is ridiculous: noticed that socrates likes to speak on what is just, moral, want socrates as a king, despite him not acting as such. How does socrates ascend from opinion to knowledge: socrates does not say opinions are wrong as a whole, but they tend to consist of contradictions. What is the distinction between philosophy and science: science produces all sorts of useful things. Why should the philosopher rule: they do not want to rule, due to them being busy trying to find the nature of things, do not care about the things that most people care about. Essay: clear thesis, understanding of the republic is clear.
