She would talk about her repressed memories under hypnosis which then relieved her of her illness. Anna unable to chase away a snake > paralysis of legs, unable to speak mother tongue. Once she was able to talk about these repressed memories, the symptoms went away: the details of the events and emotions were unaware of by the patient.
