Gender: comprises feelings, attitudes and behaviours associated with being male or female. Gender identity: identification with or sense of belonging to a particular sex- biologically, psychologically and socially. Gender role: behave according to widely shared expectations about how males or females are supposed to act. Transgender: when an individual"s gender identity does not exactly match with the sex assigned to them at birth. Transsexual: individuals that identity as the opposite sex assigned to them at birth, causing them to change their appearance or resort to a sex-change operation.
