Nowadays, 90% of women & 87% of men believe that dating partners: process of power power feels good, & people with power are use to getting what they want, controlling things, & doing whatever they want. Powerful people are more likely to think they have a higher mate value should have exactly equal power: interdependence & power one"s power is equal the amount of control you have over valuable resources. Principle of lesser intent: the partner who is less interested in continuing & maintaining the relationship has more power. They do not necessarily have to physically possess the resource, but rather just be able to control our access to them. Can only derive power from controlling a resource if it is desirable the greater the need/desire = greater their power.
