1a) the method dr. hans is using is brain mapping, more specifically identifying lesions. Scientists have discovered lesions, (areas of damage) in specific areas of the brain. These lesions show which damaged area is connected to which injury on the body. 1b) this part of the brain is the motor cortex, which controls the human bodies movement. Each motor cortex controls a certain part of the human body. There are sections that need more specific motor control. (e/g our fingers) (page 101) 1c) each region of the motor cortex (ex. Little finger, hand, wrist, elbow) has a specific job to do. The brain works with certain areas of the body, such as the motor cortex by linking them with specific areas of the body. For example, the motor cortex is apart of the frontal lobe which controls your knees, shoulders, arms, elbows ext.
