There is plenty of evidence that shows that social factors have a significant influence on health. They significantly impact children in their early years and eventually become a part of their biological systems which increases the risk of chronic illness. Positive health promotion efforts can help to counteract this. Creating an effective response to social determinants of health requires the involvement of policies that are designed to eliminate inequality/poverty and approaches that focus on disrupting the pathways that correlate b/w poor health outcomes and social risks. Social determinants of health (sdoh) are comprised of the conditions that people are born in, grow up in, work in, and age in, that work together w/ various systems that deal with illness. The distribution of various resources often shape these conditions. It also affects an individual"s ability to achieve goals, satisfy living needs and cope with their surrounding environment.
