What is health policy: policy= decisions taken by those with responsibility for a given policy area, policy makers make policy!! The health policy triangle: must look at, content of policy reflects some or all of other factors, context (live, work, history, political instability or ideology, culture) 3: processes of policy making (how issues get onto agendas and how they formulate once there, actors (individuals, groups, organizations positions in power structures, values, expectations, all 4 above factors are affected by each other. Basically power of actors (agents) is intertwined with the structures (organizations) to which they belong: power is the result of the interaction between agency and structure. 5: religious factors also strongly affect policy (ex. May be changed or terminated: problems w stages, not linear!!
