Sometimes as humans we assume that the experience of an individual could not be as reliable as objective data that is collected from an external perspective of reality. Scholars must make it a priority to learn from others" experiences. The detailed study of a phenomena or subject that is done in research requires understanding others" experiences. The types of questions that phenomenology answers are foundational to health professional education - it helps us to learn from others" experiences to answer questions. An approach to research that seeks to describe the essence of a phenomenon by exploring it from the perspective of those who have experienced it (nebauer et al. , 2019, pp. 91) The goal is to describe the experience in regards to what it was and how the experience occurred.
