The communist and liberal allies following the defeat of the fascist regime became enemies in a cold war that lasted more than forty years. The cold war ended with the collapse of communism and the disintegration of the soviet union. Political ideologies do not simply appear out of nowhere for no reason. We have to put their words and actions into context and see what the proponents of these actions have to say for themselves.
