THE LONDON AGREEMENT
The London agreement defined three kinds of war crimes, the first was crimes against
peace
War crimes are defined as violations of the laws or customs of war
The third category crimes against humanity are defined as murder, extermination,
enslavement, deportation and other inhumane acts committed against any civilian
population
By stating that crimes against humanity are enforceable whether or not in violation of
the domestic law
War crimes are always defined by the winning side in a war, those tried are always
those from the losing side
