designation of failed
1. Loss of physical control of territory or monopoly of the legitimate use of force
therein breakdown of internal order normally associated with self-policing
2. Erosion of legitimate authority to make collective decisions
3. Inability to provide reasonable public services
4. Inability to interact as a full member of the international community
Profiles of failed states are not identical
The index is composed of 12 factors divided into 3 categories there are 4 social
indicators, 2 economic indicators and 6 political indicators
