One of the core principles in the scientifics study of abnormal behaviour is that the research must be done in an ethical manner in accord with principles. Includes respect for persons capable of making decisions for themselves: second is the principle of beneficence protect patients from harm and maximize possible benefits, third is justice fairness in distribution and access.
