It is a group of people who assembled together for a common purpose. E. g. group of ppl at party, place of worship, team, class etc. There are many reasons why people join groups. Motivating people to be involved in social change most likely to take part in social action: it was found people who identify most strongly with their group are. Help establish and understand social norms the implicit and explicit rules defining what is acceptable.
