The nature of working (short-term) memory: working memory a component of memory where limited amount of new info stays/is held while it is mentally processed; also known as short-term memory. The nature of long-term memory: long-term memory the component of memory that holds knowledge and skills for a relatively long period of time, has 3 characteristics, long duration (indefinitely) regularly, unlimited capacity. When creating a concept map, the quality of the links is at least as important as having well-chosen/well-understood concepts: concept mapping enhances meaningful learning and ability to transfer learning to original situation with complex problems.
