Work influences where we live, shapes our lifestyles and consumption patters, and affects how others see us and how we see ourselves. Economists see work as activity that produces a good or service for the market. Tilly & tilly define work as human effort that adds use value to goods and services. How work is organized and how it relates to other social institutions. How groups of workers react to and cope with work and how they interact with each other. People usually seek fulfillment through work as well as good pay. Workers who are not fulfilled at work often endeavor sometimes individually or sometimes collectively. Labour theory of value holds that labour is the source of all value: nothing has value unless labour is expended on it. Work is what truly separates humans from animals. Robs workers of control over the means of production. Workers would become dissatisfied with work in a capitalist system and feel unfulfilled.
