Professional model of policing a model of police work that is reactive, incident driven, and centered on random patrol. The central premise of random patrol, also known as the watch system, is that the mere presence and visibility of patrol car serve as a deterrent to crime and at the same time make citizens feel safer. Levels of crime are generally unaffected by increases in the number of patrol cars, your response times by patrol officers, or the number of arrests made by patrol officers. It is how police resources are allocated and deployed that makes a difference. Community policing-a philosophy of policing centered on police community-partnerships and problems solving. Community policing is based on the three p"s; prevention, problem solving, and partnership with the community. No longer were police officers to solely focused on l law enforcement, but community events and activities, and victimization.
