3 distinct phases or stages in disputing process. This stage is dyadic, it only involves 2 parties. if it is not de-escalated or resolved at this stage it enters the dispute stage. It involves a third party and thus triadic. When it becomes formally legal then it is part of this stage. methods of dispute resolution. The parties either negotiate to get a resolution or they add a third party. Way back in the day they used to do duels to settle disputes and then there is also feuding which is just hostilities between families or groups and shit. Shaming has been used as a form of public reprimand into the disapproval of disputing behaviour this ties into reintegrative shaming. 2 popular ways of coping with dispute. Attempt to resolve issue without third party help. Mediator does not make nal decision they just mediate between 2 parties while 2 parties come up with a decision.
