Individuals are predisposed to behave in certain ways: situational approach characteristics of the organizational setting influence people"s attitudes and behavior. Interactionist approach an individual"s attitudes and behavior are a function of both dispositions and the situation. Trait activation theory, traits lead to certain behaviours only when the situation makes the need for the trait salient. Personality characteristics influence people"s behavior when the situation calls for a particular personality characteristic. Big five or five-factor model provides framework for classifying personality characteristics in five general categories. The five-factor model of personality (ffm: extraversion.
