Successful candidates must fit with strategic direction of the org. When an unsuccessful employee must be terminated, recruitment/selection process must begin all over again & new candidate must be trained/oriented . Legal considerations ensure all selection procedures are free of discrimination. & employer liability for negligent or wrongful hiring. Not always possible to have large, qualified pool of recruits to select applicants from certain positions may be subject to labour shortage or surplus.
