Purpose it to influence hr policies/practices such as pay and benefits, greater control over jobs being performed, greater job security, improving working conditions, job satisfaction etc. Labour management relations refers to ongoing interactions between labour unions and management in organizations. Collective bargaining agreement (cba) is a formal agreement between an employer and the union representing a group of its employees regarding terms and condition of employment. Cba, negotiated through collective bargaining, govern the selection of employees for transfers, promotions and training programs and specify the order in which employees can be laid off. Bargaining unit is the group of employees in a firm, plant or industry that has been recognized by an employer as appropriate for collective bargaining purposes (rather than management)
