Vision take sup a big portion of our brain region: ex. if visual info conflicts with information from other senses, we tend to trust our vision more. Shoes you put on your feet, if you cannot recognize shoes, then you will never be able to protect your feet: object recognition is important for learning. Gestalt psychologist argued that the organization must be contributed by the perceiver: ex. Necker cube: is an example of a reversible figure, some people perceive the object one way and then another. One is perceived viewed from the top and other from the bottom: both perceptions fit perfectly, the same can be done with other stimuli. Figure ground organization: the determination of what is the figure (the depicted object, displayed against a background)
