What is a personality disorder: when a person"s behaviour falls outside the range of commonly accepted ways, that person often has trouble dealing with normal social situations and life experiences. People with personality disorders act like this most of the time. When do personality traits become personality disorders: people with personality disorders have difficulty understanding why or how their behaviours have caused problems, find it hard to change their behaviour to suit different situations. This condition in combination with negative experiences may increase risk. How do personality disorders develop: usually begin to appear in teenage years or early adulthood. Comorbidity and concurrent disorders: not uncommon to have more than one mental health disorder at a time.
