Document Summary

Humans should be completing work at the lowest levels. Man needs both small and large structures in business. Technological advancements has enabled people to become footloose. Machines operate more efficiently and should do the work. Large similar companies should merge and dominate field together. Business should work together to create greater profits and compete internationally. I find the views of schumacher that businesses should start with smaller companies in contrast to chandlers views that larger companies should dominate. Schumacher argues that it is difficult for larger companies to preform because they need guidance from the smaller companies. I agree on this statement as one must gather information at the lowest level through human interaction to further businesses and see what is required. Chandler argues that large countries should control all operations, however it is difficult for larger companies to control internationally as the time to disseminate information becomes much larger.
