This chapter discusses about how many individuals tends to become poor in canada, most children are exposed to poverty because their parents are poor and this could go up to adulthood. Children who are advantaged tends to gain a higher education background and a god paying job. Social and material deprivation goes all the way in affecting individuals psychosocial understanding of the world. Lack of employment is another problem that triggers poverty, it was recorded in 2008-2009 that many employees who lost their jobs were not qualified for an employment insurance. There are 3 ways of acknowledging how people become poor in canada, descriptive data that shows life situations related to the likelihood of becoming poor. Data that assesses specific life events that causes poverty over time. Data gotten from individual life experience of poverty. Government should take into consideration various life circumstances and issues that causes poverty in canada. This chapter discusses about individuals that are facing poverty.
