Social science: the science of people or collections of people (e. g. firms, societies etc. ) and their individual or collective behaviours: social sciences can be classified into disciplines such as psychology, sociology etc. Differences between natural and social sciences: natural sciences tend to be very precise, accurate, deterministic and independent of the person gathering the data. Whereas in social sciences it tends to be less accurate, deterministic and unambiguous, there is also a high degree of measurement error and uncertainty.
