NATS 1860 Chapter 4-6: Worldsview notes
Document Summary
Aristotle was a greek philosopher who was seen to be the first genuine scientist in history. He had extensive views on ethics, psychology, politics, biology, the proper method of conducting scientific investigations, etc. Later after his death, people"s beliefs didn"t necessarily revolve around his, but changed or some stuck with his theories. Religious individuals went more towards plato"s theories than aristotle"s. Plato: believed that information was true the way it was founded and those who attempt to argue the facts only corrupt the facts and everyone"s knowledge about our world. This is where religious groups fall under since they prefer to stick to a certain set of beliefs rather than alter the rules and change their views by the opinions of other. Aristotle: believed that people had the right to argue because it taught us more and opened our eyes to things we might"ve never thought of before.
