Our impressions of others are affected by a variety of factors including physical appearance. No matter whether you are correct or not, you probably found it easy to generate some idea of what he is like. We seem to be almost automatically drawn to trying to figure others out, to getting an impression of them. We are often faced with the task of updating impressions we have formed of people as we get to know them better. Some of the information we obtain about people plays a special role in our impressions. While we often gather many pieces of information about another person, our final impressions can often be dramatically affected by just one piece of information. However, impressions are often inaccurate because of the many biases and fallacies that occur in person perception.
