Social cognitive perspective on personality that albert bandura says emphasizes the interaction of our traits with our situations. Social-cognitive theorist say we learn out behaviours through conditioning or observing and imitating other (social part: mental process is important-- what we think about a situation affects out behaviour (cognitive part) Ppl with inflated self-esteem post selfies often for public attention which leads to greater self-love. We choose env and it shapes us: out personalities shape how we interpret and react to events: anxious ppl react strongly to relationship threats. If we see world as threatening, we will watch for threats and prepare to defend self: our personalities help create situations wo which we react: how we view and treat ppl is how they threat us. Eg, if we think ppl wont like us, our bragging and seeking their approval will make them not like us.
