How do we define leaning, and what are some basic forms of learning: by learning, we adapt to ouy env, expect and prepare for significant events such as food and pain. Learn first by association: naturally connect events that occur in sequence. In classical conditioning, we learn to associate two stimuli and anticipate events: eg, when lighting happens, we expect thunder and brace ourselves. In operant conditioning we leant to associate a response and its consequence: learn to repeat acts followed by good results. Ivan pavlov basically came up with classical conditioning. Who was pavlov and what are the basic components of classical conditioning: he studied digestive system, he started to wonder why dogs started to salivate when seeing or smelling food.
