Capitalism is a system of the private ownership of the means of production (the exact definition). The means of production are the factories, machines and tools used to produce goods. Your own private home is not a means of production because you cannot use it to produce things. The ownership of the means of production is controlled by the government. It is the public ownership of the means of production. Capitalism is privately owned and communism is publically owned. Feudalism was a system mainly around agricultural work. We are not talking about industrial production but in capitalism we are talking industrial. What were they criticizing industrial capitalism: there was a lot of conformity and not a lot of creativity because of the lack of individuality. Irrationalization all these calculations based on reasons and people are told there is a specific way of doing things and people will not disobey that order and make a mess of things.
