Document Summary

Through shaping a union and arranging an agreement, workers can secure the things they like about their occupation, and they can roll out improvements in areas that need change. By joining a union, this gives the employee a sense of job security and guarantee that their occupations are properly secured against layoffs. Moreover, organized unions gives workers the quick right to demand a safe work environment. Many times, employers fail to meet the basic needs of employees such as providing safety training, proper gear, and clear instructions on how to proceed and report any accidents in the workplace. However, with the presence of a union, workers can expect to work in a safe environment. Lastly, if wage matters, one may choose to join a union. The power of a union can also be seen in the pay and benefits; through a union, the workers" pay rises and limits are put on the wage gap experienced by women.
