Based on these accusations, socrates" accusers say he does not believe in the gods. Aristophanes" clouds gives a negative portrayal of socrates. Chaerophon asks the pythia at delphi if there is anyone wiser than socrates and the pythia says there is not. Socrates does not believe the pythia and tries to find a wiser man.
