Ensuring that you read sources carefully and critically. Document how and why you expect you use particular sources. To inform you and the audience about a source. Helps you sort out the information you are collecting and gain a sense of the larger conversation about your topic. You describe each of the sources you expect to consult and what role each one will play in your research. Sometimes you will be required to evaluate each source to assess their strengths and weaknesses in one or two sentences. Annotations should be brief, they vary in style. An annotated bibliography is arranged in alphabetical order. Complete bibliographic information using the documentation specified or chosen. This will help enable readers to locate your sources- and can also form the basis for your final works-cited or references list. A brief summary or description of each work.
