Mike should break the ice by trying to lead his employees in the direction to become a successful team by first caring for and trusting his coworkers during the process. He should know how to listen each member as well as express his own ideas. Some of the ways mike could try to turn the group into a team is become a team player by first getting the teams input toward establishing team goals. Working with each other to define goals is more likely to work as a team in achieving them. Secondly, when communicating and setting a common objective for the entire team, mike should encourage the teams output by including everyone in the decision- making process. Thirdly, mike will need to stress the importance of communication. He will need to know what motivates his team members and what makes them angry, this builds trust and resolves conflict.
