I believe this is a good approach to conflict management because firstly, he is using strategies to settle the server"s ideas and objectives in a positive manner by trying to analyze the center of the conflict. Second, he asked the servers to write down the conflict and how it can be fixed. The next step that jim should take to is to determine what strategy best fits the servers conflict. He then should start the pre-negotiations phase, which the servers involved should be given the opportunity to come forth and offer a negotiation. Once the negotiation phase begins, all the servers must express their concerns and interests and be willing to listen to each other. I think the situation can be resolved in this manner because if it is handled professionally and positively, it allows both jim and the servers to improve their working relationship.
