Secondary structure : a polypeptide chain that is twisted and folded resulting from interactions between neighboring amino acids. Tertiary structure : the three dimensional shape of a protein that results from secondary structures that interact and fold into each other further. Quaternary structure : proteins that consist of two or more polypeptide chains associated together.
