Hampsch 1 Audra Hampsch Fr. Blake Intro to Film Studies 7 September 2013 In an adaptive screenplay of the Boston Marathon tragedy, this documentary-like film not only informs the audience of the finish line bombing tragedy, but also adventures through the hunt for the two prosecutors—Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev. Titled Usul—the Islamic root word for Fundamental Radicalism—this film takes on the Tsarnaev brothers’point of view, utilizing the perspective of flashbacks, showing their struggle with racial inequality, premature exposure to violence, and Muslim heritage within America. In terms of the film form, the run time would only be fifteen minutes in duration. The story time, however, would span across four days, beginning with the initial bombings on Monday, April 15 2013 and th ending with Dzhokhar Tsarnaev in custody on Thursday, April 19 .
