Pacs 10 marxist agendas for peace by richmond. Marxism works as a concept of peace in two ways: Offering an understanding of how conflict emerges out of competition in the capitalist world economy. Demonstrating how the move toward a classless society is necessary for a structural peace. Argument: marxists theory"s potential contribution to pacs is often overlooked. Hegemony: leadership or dominance by one country or social group over others. Hegemonic dominance is based on an unequal distribution of material resources, or via race and class. Structuralism"s goal of replacing structures instead led to their replacement often by worse forms of dominance in states that practiced communism. Structuralism offers the view that the global economy, world trade, and global economic relations are structural to the advantage of small elites and social classes, leading to global injustice and the disempowerment of much of the world"s population.
