Equality can be established in civil society and not in politiical world, or be established in the political world even without poltiical freedom. Equality in its most extreme is confused with freedom. Freedom does not form the distinctive characteristic of democratic centuries. Evils freedom brings are immediate and visible, while evils of equality are manifested little by little. Beenfits of freedom show in the long term while advantages of equality are constantly felt. Taste for and idea of freedom began to aise and to develop only at the moment when conditions began to be equalized and as a consequence of that vevery equality (48) Want equality even in slavery, poverty, barbarism etc. Men in aristocratic governments are bound to something outside of themselves vs. men in democracies are more aware of their individual duties towrad the species.
