Red hat contrasts with white clothes to represent innocence. Mother is the reason the boy strays from the path instead of the one that warns him to stay on it: satire on consumer society and unrealistic demands parents put on their children. Wide range of colors and styles for pictures. Rood rood roodkapje (red red red riding hood) - edward van de vendel. Told in red, gray, and black: riding hood loves the color red: all her wishes are in red, her days are gray: gray path through a gray forest to a gray grandmother, black is the danger = wolf. Woodcut illustrations to show a scarier and dramatic atmosphere. Unappreciative grandma, always wanting more which made her grayer. Red riding hood eats both the wolf and grandmother.
