Hamlet is the prince of denmark: hamlet"s problems. His father"s ghost is seen walking around at night. His uncle claudius has married his mother gertrude. Hamlet approaches his father"s ghost: the ghost tells him that claudius has murdered him. Tells him to take revenge and murder claudius: to carry out this plan hamlet acts crazy. Scorns the affections of ophelia: daughter of polonius. Polonius worries about hamlet"s behavior: points it out to the king and queen. Hamlets wants to make sure of claudius" guilt before revenge: tells a band of traveling actors to play out the murder in front of the court. Hamlet learns that claudius is guilty of murder but still does not kill him right away: he goes to tell his mother of his information. Polonius is eavesdropping and hears hamlets accusations: cries for help. Hamlet kills him thinking it is claudius. Claudius nds out that hamlet knows: plots to send him to england.
